Kuzma spent six months meticulously planning the proposal after being inspired by their trip to a Caribbean island in 2022. During that unforgettable day, Harlow declared it as her best experience ever. This memory sparked Kuzma’s decision to use this magical location for their engagement (as featured in Vogue). In order to pull off the surprise, he arranged for a private plane and decked out the cabin with roses, balloons, chocolates, and champagne. Despite her initial assumption that it was just a Valentine’s Day celebration, Harlow remained clueless about the true purpose of the setup, exclaiming, “I was still in the dark about what this was all about.”

While in flight, Kuzma invited Harlow to sit next to him and share a poem he had penned. It wasn’t until the last line—”Will you be my wife?”—that she understood it was a proposal.
