As a seasoned gamer and animation enthusiast with a soft spot for sports-themed narratives, I must say that the trailer for Win or Lose has piqued my interest significantly! Growing up, I spent countless hours on the virtual fields of RBI Baseball and Madden NFL, so seeing a heartwarming tale about a middle school softball team is right up my alley.

A fresh, original Pixar production titled “Win or Lose” is set to debut on Disney+ towards the end of this year. This series focuses on a group of students from a middle school softball team, as they gear up for an important title match.

What is the Disney+ release date for Win or Lose?

Excitedly speaking here, folks! I just can’t contain my enthusiasm to share some fantastic news that was announced at D23 on Friday, August 9, 2024. Get ready because the much-anticipated series, “Win or Lose,” will be streaming exclusively on Disney+ starting December 6, 2024! Can’t wait to binge-watch it with all of you amazing fans!

The new series, helmed by Carrie Hobson and Michael Yates as directors, writers, and executive producers, with David Lally producing, offers an intimate exploration of various characters’ experiences – from anxious kids to overbearing parents, and even a smitten umpire – all gearing up for a championship softball game. Voiced by Will Forte is the coach in this production.

Along with Forte, the voice cast of the series includes Milan Ray and Rosa Salazar.

In essence, Pete Docter from Pixar explained that “Win or Lose” isn’t primarily about softball; rather, it’s a humorous exploration of love, rivalry, and the common struggles we encounter in our individual quests to succeed in life.

Besides “Win or Lose,” another exciting new animated series on Disney+ was announced at D23 on Friday – a spin-off of Inside Out called Dream Productions, set to air in 2025. This show will delve into the world inside Riley’s mind, with Paula Pell lending her voice to dream director Paula Persimmon. The talented cast includes Richard Ayoade, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Alli Maki, Kensington Tallman, Liza Lapira, Tony Hale, Lewis Black, and Phyllis Smith.

It was also announced that The Incredibles 3 and an original movie called Hoppers are in the works from Pixar at D23.
