As a die-hard tennis fan, I couldn’t be more excited about Netflix’s upcoming docuseries on Carlos Alcaraz. The young Spanish sensation has already made history by becoming the youngest No. 1 player in international tennis, and his recent win at Wimbledon against Novak Djokovic only solidified that fact.
In March 2024, it was revealed by Netflix that they intended to create a documentary series about tennis player Carlos Alcaraz following his triumph against Rafael Nadal during “The Netflix Slam” live event. Unbeknownst to them, this planned production would capture one of the most significant milestones in the promising career of Alcaraz.
I’m a huge fan of Alcaraz, the amazingly talented tennis player who made history at just 21 years old. According to Netflix, he was already “the youngest No. 1 player in international tennis history.” But that title wasn’t just empty words; Alcaraz proved it with his stunning win at Wimbledon in July 2024. Beating Novak Djokovic in the final was no easy feat, but Alcaraz made it look effortless, adding yet another big victory to his impressive collection.
Luckily, fans can look forward to witnessing his recent achievements unfold in the docuseries “Alcaraz” which Netflix has announced will be available in 2025, though the number of episodes is currently undisclosed.
As an avid fan, I’m excitedly anticipating the announcement of a release date for the upcoming tennis documentary on the streaming service. Given the hype surrounding the athlete’s recent achievements, it seems reasonable to assume that the platform will aim to capitalize on this momentum and drop it as soon as possible – ideally before next summer’s tennis season heats up again.

Carlos Alcaraz docuseries follows star through Wimbledon win
As a long-time tennis enthusiast and someone who has followed Rafael Alcaraz’s career closely, I’m thrilled to hear that his docuseries is coming to Netflix in 2025. His rise to fame and dominance on the court has been nothing short of remarkable, and I can’t wait to see an inside look at his journey.
As a gamer, I’m always on the lookout for new and exciting experiences, just like the Netflix docuseries “Break Point” offers tennis fans an unprecedented glimpse into the life of up-and-coming tennis star Alcaraz. When I heard about this series, I couldn’t help but feel excited at the prospect of getting to know him off the court, beyond the tennis matches we see in tournaments. In his own words, Alcaraz shared with Netflix, “People will get to see things they don’t usually witness on a tennis court. It’s going to be something really different.”
After winning The Netflix Slam in March, I, as an excited gamer, shared a victorious video on Instagram with the caption “Game, Set, Netflix” displayed on the screen. Little did we know that this announcement also signaled the upcoming Netflix docuseries, set to release in 2025. How could anyone, including myself, have foreseen the thrilling moments Netflix would capture and share with fans five years later?
In recent years, Netflix has been steadily increasing its collection of sports programming. This includes documentaries such as “Quarterback,” “Full Swing,” “Drive to Survive,” “Sprint,” and “Simone Biles: Rising,” along with the upcoming broadcasts of the NFL’s Christmas Day games. Alcaraz’s timely docuseries is just another addition to Netflix’s impressive roster of top-tier sports content on streaming platforms.
