As a dedicated fan and avid gamer of “Outlander,” I’ve spent countless hours immersed in the captivating world created by Diana Gabaldon. The complex characters, intricate storylines, and rich historical detail have kept me hooked for years. When it comes to discussing the characters we love to hate, Richard Brown is undeniably on that list.
When it comes to characters I can’t stand, Richard Brown undoubtedly makes the cut. He turned into a nuisance during Seasons 5, 6, and the first part of Season 7 in “Outlander.” Can we really expect him to make an appearance in the second half of Season 7?
As a dedicated fan of “Outlander” who has been following the story since its inception, I’m always eager to delve deeper into the intricacies of this captivating series. And though Season 7B may not grace our screens until November 22, my excitement is far from waning. Instead, I find myself engrossed in contemplating which beloved characters from the past might make an appearance.
In Season 5, Chris Larkin joined the show as the character Richard Brown, who posed a danger from the start. He ran Brownsville and wasn’t eager to join Jamie’s militia. However, complications arose when Marsali killed Richard’s brother, Lionel. Although Marsali acted in self-defense, and Jamie took the fall when delivering the body, Richard was determined to seek retribution at some point.
Richard Brown likely won’t return in Outlander Season 7B
As a long-time fan of “Outlander,” I’ve followed the storyline closely and have strong feelings about the character development. Based on what we’ve seen so far in Season 7A, I believe there’s no need for Richard to return to the series.
If Jamie didn’t cause Harm to Richard, there’s no need for him to reappear in the narrative. The Brownsville chapter has ended, and now Claire, Jamie, and Young Ian are en route to Scotland, with plans to return to the Colonies. However, as the Revolutionary War looms, Jamie understands that he can’t rely on the Browns for protection of the Ridge.
Richard is no longer present in the subsequent books. The series has recovered its adherence to the original storylines, making it unnecessary to introduce Richard Brown again. There are already numerous adversaries in the narrative, and time is a limiting factor.
