As a die-hard fan of Riteish Deshmukh, I was absolutely blown away by his exceptional performance in the web series “Pill.” The way he portrayed an honest doctor and government employee who stands against all odds to expose the corruption in the Indian pharmaceutical industry left me completely speechless.
Riteish Deshmukh recently portrayed the role of an upright doctor and public servant in a web series. Despite facing numerous challenges, he uncovers the hidden truths about the pharmaceutical industry’s sinister side. The series has garnered significant praise from audiences, leaving many wondering if a second season of “The Pill” is on the horizon.
In simpler terms, the web series “Pill” explores the corruption within the Indian pharmaceutical industry. The protagonist, Dr. Prakash, teams up with three whistle-blowers to take on the powerful pharmaceutical company Forever Cure. Together, they aim to reveal the corrupt connections between pharma companies, middlemen, and doctors, ultimately bringing the truth to light for the general public. Will goodness prevail over the evil in this battle?
Will Riteish Deshmukh’s web series Pill get a sequel?
In the inaugural season finale of Pill, Dr. Prakash and his team expose the hidden scandals of Forever Cure Pharma. Consequently, they prevent the release of the corporation’s latest cancer drug onto the market. Additionally, due to their successful lawsuit against the pharmaceutical behemoth, the court mandates the recall of all their medicines.
To date, the creators of the show “Pill” have kept quiet about the possibility of a second season. Nevertheless, Genelia D’Souza, actress and wife of Riteish Deshmukh, has given a hint that another installment is on the way. She expressed her high regard for the series on Instagram Stories, stating, “I usually don’t binge-watch shows; they need to be truly exceptional for me to stay up late and finish an entire series in one sitting. But ‘Pill’ was different.” Genelia went on to commend the entire team behind the show, expressing her excitement for Season 2 by adding, “Simply extraordinary. Bravo, Team Pill! I can’t wait for more!”
Riteish Deshmukh re-posted the tale with a red heart symbol, but he didn’t disclose if another season was planned.
I’m eagerly waiting for the official announcement from the creators to find out what actions Dr. Prakash and his team will take next for the betterment of our community.
