PUBG Mobile stands among the most widely played mobile video games globally. Boasting more than a billion installations, it’s an influential game in shaping the landscape of mobile gaming.

Although PUBG Mobile has a strong following within the worldwide mobile gaming community, its developers soon recognized that they were overlooking a significant group of players – those with less advanced devices. In simpler terms, running PUBG Mobile smoothly demands at least a mid-range smartphone.

Consequently, Tencent opted to introduce “PUBG Mobile Lite”, which is a different version of the game featuring a compact map and fewer users in the lobby. This variation caters to gamers using less advanced mobile devices, ensuring they can still fully experience all aspects of the game.

As a gamer, I’ve been enjoying this game on my Android device, but I can’t help but wonder if it’s going to make its way over to iOS, too. Perhaps we might see an announcement about that soon?

When Will PUBG Mobile Lite Be Released on iOS?

It is unlikely that PUBG Mobile Lite will ever be released on iOS.

As of now, there’s no iOS version available on the official game website. However, due to a significant factor, the likelihood of it becoming accessible for iOS users in the future seems rather small.

Initially, PUBG Mobile Lite was designed to cater to Android devices with lower specifications, since they struggle to run the standard PUBG Mobile. However, due to Apple only manufacturing high-end iPhones, there’s no need for an iOS version of PUBG Mobile Lite as their devices can handle the original game.

If you’re using iOS and prefer the compact map and quicker gameplay of PUBG Mobile Lite, you can enjoy that with the full version of PUBG Mobile. Over the last two years, Tencent has introduced smaller maps such as Livik, which provide a similar experience to PUBG Mobile Lite.
