Wicked Runtime Revealed, 1st Movie Is Nearly as Long as Entire Musical

As a seasoned gamer and musical enthusiast who has spent countless hours immersed in both virtual worlds and Broadway’s most enchanting tales, I must admit that my anticipation for the 2024 Wicked movie is reaching epic proportions! The prospect of witnessing this captivating story unfold on the silver screen, with a runtime nearly as long as some of my favorite RPG adventures, has me both excited and slightly anxious about managing my snack breaks.

The 2024 “Wicked” movie is expected to run about the same length as the Broadway production, despite being based on just the initial portion of the narrative.

I’m absolutely thrilled to share that I’ll be able to catch “Wicked” on the big screen this November! Kudos to Jon M. Chu for directing this one, marking the start of a two-part film adaptation of the beloved stage musical by Stephen Schwartz and Winnie Holzman with the same name. Can’t wait to see it unfold!

Through their extraordinary experiences in Oz, they ultimately come to embody the roles we know as Glinda the Good Witch and the Wicked Witch of the West.
