What happened to MO3 and Yella Beezy?
As I write this, it’s unclear what specific reasons led to the conflict between MO3 and Yella Beezy.
Before MO3’s untimely demise in November 2020, there was an ongoing public feud between us, a conflict that had been simmering for quite some time. We exchanged harsh words on social media platforms and took subtle jabs at each other in our respective songs. The reason behind our disagreement remains unclear, but it’s speculated that our shared heritage might have played a role.
According to The Dallas Morning News, MO3 and Beezy were both born in Dallas and sought acknowledgement from the same circle of people, leading to a reported rivalry between them. Tragically, MO3 was fatally shot on I-35 in Dallas.
According to reports, the rapper was in his car when Kewon Dontrell White, the alleged assailant, came near. Upon spotting him, MO3 got out of his vehicle and tried to flee on the freeway. Unfortunately, White ended up shooting MO3 before departing the location. Emergency responders rushed the wounded musician to a hospital nearby, but he eventually lost his life due to his injuries.
Contrary to what might seem like a feud between them, MO3 and Yella Beezy have both stated they’ve never had disagreements in the past. Shortly following this, authorities apprehended White and Devon Maurice Brown, another individual linked to the case. Now, authorities have also indicted Yella Beezy, four years after MO3’s passing.
In 2022, Kewon Dontrell White received a nine-year prison term for carrying a firearm. Similarly, Devon Maurice Brown was given an 80-month sentence in 2021. Keep an eye out for updates on Yella Beezy’s case in the near future.
