Why Was Kitty Expelled From KISS in XO, Kitty?

As a gamer, I’m often asked about what caused the main character Kitty, played by Anna Cathcart in the first season of XO, Kitty, to be temporarily expelled from the school. This romance series follows Kitty as she enrolls in an elite institution in honor of her late mother and embarks on a journey to find true love. Despite managing to get accepted, a small misstep led to my temporary dismissal.

Here are details on why Kitty was expelled from KISS.

Here’s why Kitty was kicked out of KISS in XO, Kitty Season 1

It was discovered by the officials that Kitty was residing at the boys’ dormitory. This discovery resulted in her being expelled from the institution.

Initially, when Kitty enrolled at the institution, officials mistakenly assumed that her dual name, Song Covey, was a male name. Consequently, they placed her in the boys’ dormitory. However, upon joining the school, Kitty realized the error and found herself living with her long-distance boyfriend, Dae, and his friends Min Ho and Q. With no other housing options, she stayed there until Episode 4, when she managed to rectify the dorm issue with Professor Lee.

She tells Professor Lee that she’s been placed in a boys’ dormitory and asks if there’s any other room available. He agrees, assigning her a new room. Upon entering this new space, she finds herself sharing it with an untidy, video game-obsessed person. Frustrated by their careless behavior, she requests Professor Alex to move her again, but he informs her that the girls’ dormitory is at capacity.

Q proposes a solution by suggesting she stay in their extra room at the dorm to get away from her gamer roommate. With no other options, she accepts his proposal. However, the KISS authorities remain unaware of Kitty’s new living situation until the end of Season 1. She earns good grades on her exam and rejoices with the boys, blissfully oblivious to alerting the authorities. Once they find out that she has been residing in the dorm, they expel her for breaking the strict rules of the institution.
