Why Vyke Deserves the Spotlight in A24’s Upcoming Elden Ring Movie!

In Hidetaka Miyazaki‘s Elden Ring universe, Vyke would likely be near the top of a list of characters who suffered injustice. If you haven’t encountered him yet, check out the game’s cover art – the kneeling man on it is one of the tarnished NPCs who came the closest to ascending as an Elden Lord before us.

Perhaps it’s high time for him to step into the limelight in the forthcoming “Elden Ring” movie, a production by A24 studios that could shed light on his near-Elden Lord existence, as he hasn’t received the recognition he deserves within the game itself.

The upcoming Elden Ring movie should focus on this one NPC that almost did the impossible

In a joint effort with George R.R. Martin, the narrative for Elden Ring unfolds, detailing that the Tarnished are descendants of Godfrey and his battalion, banished from The Lands Between. By divine intervention, they’re guided to return home, with aspirations of regaining their lost power and reclaiming their title as Elden Lord once more.

Beyond our primary playable character, it’s Vyke who has come the most near to accomplishing this objective. However, his part in the main game is relatively minor, and many fans of the game, as discussed on Elden Ring’s official subreddit, hope that the upcoming film will concentrate entirely on this allegedly potent NPC character.

User u/Terrible_Length4413 shares their viewpoint in a post that Vyke’s lore encapsulates perfectly FromSoftware’s storytelling method, and could arguably be the most captivating aspect to explore in the upcoming movie adaptation of Elden Ring, if viewed from a cinematic standpoint.

Why Vyke deserves more love and respect from Elden Ring makers and fans alike

Once upon a time, Vyke was an impressive warrior. He had managed to obtain two powerful symbols known as runes, and with these, he made significant strides towards becoming the Elden Lord. However, he faltered when required to make the ultimate sacrifice – giving up his maiden. As a result, he fell prey to the outer god of Frenzy Frame, which drove him mad, ending his story in tragedy.

As a gamer, I’ve found myself deeply invested in Vyke’s storyline, yet his on-screen presence remains disappointingly minimal – confined to a brief boss battle within an Evergaol. It’s high time Hidetaka Miyazaki, the revered game director, shines light on one of his most compelling characters by granting Vyke the limelight he truly deserves.

Information about the upcoming Elden Ring movie remains unclear at this point. However, it’s said to be a joint production with A24 Studios. If not focusing on Vyke’s story, the film could instead delve into the war between Malenia and Radahn, a conflict that significantly altered history’s trajectory for all time.
