As a dedicated fan, I couldn’t help but notice the shift in screen time for our beloved main lead in Hudson & Rex Season 7 compared to previous seasons. Little did we know that this change was tied to something far more significant than just a storyline. Last Christmas Eve, Reardon courageously shared his health battle with us on Instagram – he had been fighting tonsil cancer and was on the road to recovery.

Reardon posted two photos, with the caption “These images represent my first night out since recovering from tonsil cancer. It’s been quite a journey between these two snapshots, and the transformation is a testament to the love and support I’ve received from those close to me throughout this process.

He thanked his family for their unwavering presence during hardship, showering him with love, care, and encouragement. Additionally, he acknowledged the healthcare workers who provided essential treatment and facilitated a swift recovery. “Kindness is often overlooked in people,” stated Reardon, “let’s not undervalue it. We should cherish and spread it whenever possible because it costs nothing but can bring about profound change.

Beyond acting, he and his wife Megan Ory have launched a YouTube series titled House to Home, where they rehabilitate various properties. Although speculation about Reardon’s departure has grown following his diagnosis, neither the production company of Hudson & Rex nor Reardon himself have provided an official confirmation regarding his exit from the show.
