At the latest red-carpet event for her forthcoming supernatural thriller Sinners in Mexico, there was speculation about whether the Bumblebee actress might resume her Marvel Cinematic Universe character in the impending Avengers: Doomsday.

According to a video posted by @marvel_updat3s on X (previously Twitter), as Hailee Steinfeld continued signing autographs, it appeared she acknowledged a question with a nod. This gesture left fans speculating that Kate Bishop could have a significant part in the upcoming project.

Doomsday, it’s plausible that her response was not directed at any official inquiry due to the busy backdrop of industry news.

In 2021’s Hawkeye series, Hailee Steinfeld first appeared as Kate Bishop in the Marvel universe. Later, she reprised her role for a short appearance in the end credits of The Marvels in 2023, sharing screen time with Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan. This scene hinted at the development of a Young Avengers storyline, which is now being shaped into a series called ‘Champions.’
