Real reason why R-Truth is leaving WWE
On June 1st, R-Truth revealed that he had parted ways with WWE, leading to speculation among fans who initially thought it might be a joke. However, as multiple sources later verified, this departure was indeed genuine and not one of his usual playful stunts, particularly given that he has been known for such pranks, especially on April Fool’s Day.
Based on reports by wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer, the releases of R-Truth and Carlito appear to be due to WWE’s ongoing roster adjustments. In an effort to introduce fresh talent from NXT into the main roster, WWE has chosen not to renew the contracts of some veteran or underutilized performers. R-Truth is among those affected by this decision.
Though both wrestlers were popular figures, their advanced ages and limited roles seemed to influence WWE’s decision. Despite R-Truth’s recent high-profile matches with John Cena, and Carlito being a key member of The Judgment Day, the company opted to focus on fresher talent. As R-Truth expressed on social media about his departure from WWE, “I have just been released by WWE.
