Jay Leno talks about his eye injury

Over the weekend, comedian Jay Leno sustained an eye injury following an accidental fall while walking down a slope. This mishap took place as he made his way to a restaurant that lay at a lower level compared to his hotel.

He gave more information to TMZ about his fall, saying, “Since I didn’t have a car, I had to walk approximately a mile and a half around. I thought, ‘The hill doesn’t seem too steep. It’s roughly 60 or 70 feet tall. I think I can slide down the hill,'” Leno clarified. “I tumbled down. Bam, bam, bam. I rolled down the hill, hit my head on a stone, and it struck me in the eye.

In spite of his recent eye injury, Leno persisted and carried out his scheduled performance at Yaamava’ Resort & Casino in Highland, California. Following the completion of his stand-up routine, the comedian made his way back to Los Angeles for medical evaluations to ascertain the extent of his wound.

Despite downplaying the severity, comedian Leno jokingly admitted his oversight in not heeding past lessons after his self-inflicted third-degree burn incident in a garage mishap last November 2022.

Later on, it came to light that Leno suffered burn injuries from an accident that happened when he was tinkering with an old car, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Consequently, this explosion caused his face to ignite, leading him to stay several nights at the Grossman Burn Center for treatment.

In the year 2023, Leno’s health was put at risk once more following an accident on his motorcycle. This unfortunate incident left him with a fractured collarbone, two broken ribs, and two cracked kneecaps.
