As a seasoned General Hospital viewer with a decade-long attachment to the show, I must admit that the current storyline involving Cyrus Renault has been more aggravating than entertaining. As a gamer who enjoys problem-solving and strategy, watching this saga unfold feels like being stuck on an unwinnable level.
As a dedicated fan, I’ve found myself growing increasingly frustrated with Cyrus Renault’s persistence in General Hospital. Despite repeated attempts by Laura to halt his advances, he continues to harass Lulu, blatantly disregarding her personal space. His recent actions have left a sour taste in the mouths of viewers who eagerly anticipate his departure from the storyline.
Here’s everything you need to know about what Cyrus’ role is in the latest premise, involving Lulu.
Why do General Hospital fans want Cyrus to be gone?
Fans of General Hospital seem to be growing frustrated with Cyrus, as he persistently tries to meet Lulu and intrude upon her healthcare decisions without her consent. In the most recent episode, which aired on December 3rd, Laura calls Cyrus into her office for a stern reprimand, instructing him to keep his distance from her daughter. She expresses her displeasure by setting clear boundaries for him and advising him not to meddle in Lulu’s medical care.
It seemed like Cyrus was unaffected by Laura’s words as he maintained his confidence. He clarified to her that he wasn’t accountable for Lulu’s state and hadn’t kidnapped her. Finding it hard to trust him, Laura made a difficult choice — she obtained a restraining order against him.
She strongly blamed Cyrus for all the problems Lulu encountered, such as her departure from Turning Woods. Yet, she can no longer jeopardize her daughter’s life any further. She warned him that he would be apprehended for stalking Lulu and interfering with her medical treatment, while still on parole.
Anna Devane and Dex supported her in taking action for Lulu’s safety. Despite Cyrus insisting he was innocent and that prayers saved Lulu, it appears Laura is no longer listening to his arguments. Furthermore, Anna instructed Dex to escort Cyrus to the police station to begin the process of imprisoning him.
