The Best Destinations: Liquid or G2?

In the present CS scene, Siuhy has two plausible choices: Liquid and G2. Joining Liquid seems feasible, but it might necessitate pushing out Russell “Twistzz” Van Dulken from his desired role, potentially causing Justin “jks” Savage to be dropped as well. This scenario could raise more questions than provide clear solutions.

At 31 years old, he’s been achieving notable triumphs in this new position, guiding Gamer Legion to the Copenhagen Major held in early 2024. When G2 temporarily sidelined Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen last summer, they looked to Snax, rekindling his partnership with former Virtus.pro teammate and current G2 coach Viktor “TaZ” Wojtas.

Initially, this move proved successful for G2, as they emerged victorious at the BLAST Fall and World Finals towards the end of 2024. However, things have since taken a turn. The departure of Nikola “NiKo” Kovač has created a substantial gap in both offensive capabilities and mid-round strategy. As it currently stands, G2 is experiencing difficulties, particularly on the CT side, where NiKo’s contributions to calling rotations were crucial.


A significant concern with G2’s current setup lies in the communication aspect. For instance, a versatile in-game leader such as Vitality’s apEX can effectively play flexible roles on both CT and T sides while also contributing to calls on the T side. The player siuhy exemplifies this role perfectly. In contrast, Snax is primarily an anchor on the CT side. This means that Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač has to shoulder a larger portion of the calling duties, much like NiKo did before. Furthermore, the revised positions within G2 haven’t quite found their rhythm yet. Nikita “HeavyGod” Martynenko has assumed Mario “MalbsMD” Samayoa’s previous anchor role, while MalbsMD has stepped into NiKo’s former positions. However, there seems to be a gap in G2’s team dynamics, particularly a clear, strategic voice in-game and an IGL who can deliver both tactical guidance and substantial in-game performance.

The Verdict: G2 Needs siuhy

To once again become a serious title contender, G2 might want to consider recruiting Siuhy. Although the bond between TaZ and Snax is strong, it’s crucial for G2 to focus on performance and potential rather than sentimental attachments.

Siuhy could offer the team structure, mobility, and fragging skills that G2 currently lacks. This would enable HeavyGod, hunter-, MalbsMD, and m0NESY to concentrate solely on their mechanical skills instead of dividing their attention between calling and fragging. Additionally, it’s worth noting that this move would lower the average age of G2 significantly, with only hunter- being older than 22 years old! It’s an exciting possibility to have a youthful team with immense potential.

In a contest where victory or defeat hangs by a thread, G2 can’t let this chance slip away. Bringing in siuhy isn’t simply a smart decision; it’s the strategic move that might reshape G2’s destiny.
