The trailer suggests that Sharon may be in grave danger, causing many to question whether she will depart from the series or not. However, it remains unclear if Goodwin’s character will meet her end or exit the town before the conclusion of Season 10.

At the moment, it hasn’t been verified that S. Epatha Merkerson’s character, Sharon Goodwin, is planning to depart from Chicago Med.

In the promo, it’s hinted that Goodwin will be in grave danger when a woman called Cassidy tries to end her life. Yet, there’s hope she might make it through since Dr. Archer stumbles upon them struggling and tries to rescue Goodwin.

Throughout most of Chicago Med’s Season 10, Cassidy had been following closely behind Goodwin. This subplot was delved into more detail in Episode 6, where it was disclosed that at the beginning of the new season, Cassidy’s wife Wendy lost her life because Goodwin opted to prioritize another patient, a boat driver, over treating her.

In the wake of our harrowing shipwreck, both Wendy and the boat driver found themselves in dire straits with critical injuries. But as Gaffney was running low on supplies, only five blood units left, I was faced with an agonizing choice: who to prioritize. After careful consideration, I decided that the boat driver had a better chance of survival compared to Wendy.

Afterward, Cassidy developed a deep-seated grudge against Goodwin. Later on in Chicago Med Season 10 Episode 8, the former resorted to attacking the latter, inflicting a wound in Goodwin’s abdomen. As a result, Goodwin began bleeding profusely and experienced periods of consciousness and unconsciousness. During this critical moment, Cassidy and Goodwin engaged in a prolonged conversation, during which they reminisced about Wendy’s demise.

After Goodwin fainted, causing Cassidy great alarm, it seemed as though Cassidy was remorseful for coming close to taking Goodwin’s life. Yet, Goodwin recovered consciousness once more when the elevator doors of her office opened.

Dr. Archer showed up to deliver a letter to her. Goodwin took advantage of Cassidy’s diversion to shatter a bottle of whiskey over her head and push her towards the elevator. Unfortunately for Goodwin, she witnessed the elevator closing just as Archer was leaving, which left her in distress. This incident caught Archer’s attention, as he watched Goodwin and Cassidy arguing and being led back to Cassidy’s office. This unexpected scene left him stunned, as the episode came to an end.
