Why Fans Think Marvel’s Shang-Chi 2 Trailer Is Real

As a long-time Marvel fan who has been following the adventures of Shang-Chi and Iron Fist since their comic book debuts, I must say that the recent buzz about Shang-Chi 2 has me both excited and skeptical. The trailer that’s circulating online is indeed intriguing, but as a seasoned internet detective, I can sniff out a fake when I see one. The fact that it was released by OneTake, a channel known for concept trailers, doesn’t exactly fill me with confidence.

There’s been lots of talk online about the alleged trailer for “Shang-Chi 2”. Even though it hasn’t been officially verified, people can’t seem to get enough of it, with many theories swirling about the storyline and characters. One popular theory suggests a possible fight between Shang-Chi and Iron Fist, which has fans on the edge of their seats waiting for the movie to come out.

Here’s all you want to know about the authenticity of the trailer of Shang-Chi 2.

Is the Shang-Chi 2: Wreckage of Time trailer real or fake?

The trailer of Shang-Chi 2 that is circulating online is fake.

The movie isn’t coming out until 2025 since it’s still in the filming stage. This teaser trailer was recently published by OneTake, a well-known YouTube channel known for its concept trailers. Released a month ago, the trailer has already been viewed over 884k times.

It’s uncertain whether the sequel will carry that particular title, but the concept of Iron Fist facing off against Shang-Chi has been proposed by fans; however, this idea does not appear to be based on factual information.

Will Iron Fist appear in Shang-Chi 2?

Although not confirmed, rumor mills suggest that Iron Fist will make an appearance in Shang Chi 2.

As reported by CBR, it’s expected that Shang-Chi 2 will begin production in 2025. The original director and writer, Destin Daniel Cretton, is set to continue his involvement for this sequel. Although specific plot details are not yet clear, the report hints at the inclusion of time travel and the character Iron Fist. However, fans might want to prepare for the fact that Finn Jones will not be reprising his role as the superhero.

The article mentioned that the Iron Fist seen in Shang-Chi 2 could be the same one from the upcoming animated series, Eyes of Wakanda. However, until it’s officially confirmed who will play the Iron Fist in this series, viewers should not assume that the character from the Netflix/Marvel universe is definitely returning to the MCU.

Previously, Finn Jones, who plays Iron Fist, spoke to a major newspaper, The Nerd Shepherd. He shared that he hopes to return to the role of Iron Fist. He stated, “I’m keen for the character to carry on. I want to keep portraying that character,” Jones explained. “I believe there’s still potential for development, and at this stage in my career, I’d like to continue developing with Iron Fist.” (Source: Cosmicbook)

Additionally, he voiced his hope for another collaboration with Mike Colter in a “Heroes for Hire” show. He commended their screen partnership and believed it could generate intriguing narratives. Jones proposed that this setup would provide a perfect stage to delve into the characters’ relationships.
