In the interview, he elaborated on his decision to leave, mentioning some personal factors as the motivation behind his exit.
In the latest installments, Michael’s character takes an unfortunate twist that sets the stage for his departure from the storyline, known as Duell. The show portrays Michael as troubled due to the strained marriage with his wife, Willow. Ultimately, he submits divorce documents to Willow.
A short while later, chaos ensued as Sonny’s penthouse ignited into flames. Unfortunately, Michael, who happened to be there, was trapped within the inferno. Remarkably, he was saved by Jason Morgan and subsequently admitted to a healthcare facility for treatment after sustaining severe burns across his body.
Although it hasn’t been officially confirmed, there has been speculation among fans about a potential recasting of the character Micheal in the show, as they believe he might return with a different actor following his injuries. However, executive producer Frank Valentini stated in November 2024 that currently, there are no plans to replace Michael.
