Andy spoke publicly about the situation on Andy Cohen Live, acknowledging that he had been tricked. “I noticed someone on Twitter had posted what seemed like an announcement from Carl that he was departing Summer House,” said Andy. “It even sounded a bit like Carl’s style.” He continued, “So I straight away texted Carl and congratulated him, saying ‘Congratulations on a fantastic run.’ To which he replied, ‘What are you talking about?’
The post, reshared by the fan account @Bravoandcocktails, suggested that Carl was taking a leave of absence after nine years. However, the message wasn’t actually written by Carl himself, and he quickly clarified this to set the record straight.
The rumor gained credibility among fans as many cast members from Season 9, such as Paige DeSorbo, had publicly stated their departure, and Lexi Wood suggested she wouldn’t return following a challenging season.
