As a dedicated fan of FBI: International who’s seen more seasons than I care to admit, I must say the recent turn of events has left me a bit worried about Cameron Vo, played by Vinessa Vidotto. The gunfight scene in the mid-season finale was nail-biting, and the uncertainty surrounding her fate is palpable.
Since its debut in 2021, FBI: International has experienced various changes within its primary cast, leaving fans uncertain and questioning the fate of their beloved characters. Lately, these series developments have sparked worry among viewers as they ponder if Vinessa Vidotto’s character Cameron Vo might be departing from the show.
Is Vinessa Vidotto’s Cameron Vo leaving FBI: International?
As I write this piece, it’s undecided if Vinessa Vidotto will depart from FBI: International. Neither the actress herself nor the production team has issued an official announcement regarding her potential exit.
In the mid-season finale of FBI: International’s fourth season, the Fly Team confronts Beau Knapp’s character, Greg Csonka, a villain previously introduced. Jesse Lee Soffer’s character, Wes Mitchell (who leads the Fly Team), is determined to see justice served for the death of his partner, and Csonka eventually confesses to the crime. As a result, he receives a 30-year prison sentence in a Hungarian correctional facility.
While being transported, Csonka manages to break free when a truck crashes into a car. A shootout ensues, and Vo gets hit in her collarbone. She’s then rushed to the hospital with Andre Raines of Carter Redwood staying behind to monitor her condition. Later, he briefs the team about Vo’s predicament, leaving everyone concerned until it’s revealed that she’s somehow survived the ordeal.
While it’s true that her ongoing role isn’t guaranteed when FBI: International resumes in January 2025, it’s important to remember that the show has a history of altering its main cast like other procedurals do. For instance, Luke Kleintank, who played Scott Forrester, left the series toward the end of last season. Consequently, there’s always the possibility that Vidotto could also depart. However, we’ll find out her fate when the show returns next year.
