As a seasoned gamer with a busy life, I can relate to Elon Musk’s apprehension towards League of Legends. Having juggled my own rocket science projects and gaming escapades, I understand how engrossing and time-consuming this game can be. It’s like having a third job that requires strategic thinking and unwavering commitment.
In a conversation with Donald Trump’s granddaughter, Kai Trump, Elon Musk revealed why he wouldnt start playing League of Legends again.
According to the video, he seems wary of the game’s potential for addiction.
“[That] would damage the space program.”
he said with a grin to Kai Trump, likely referring to LoL’s addictive nature.
Musk ranks among the best Diablo players, though
Recently, Elon Musk gained significant attention due to his impressive skills in the game Diablo 4, even though he stated he doesn’t play it extensively. However, for a short while, he managed to place himself among the top 20 global Diablo 4 players.
Diablo is an action Role-Playing Game primarily centered around cooperative gameplay against computer-controlled enemies in a dark setting. Players traverse these worlds, acquire gear, and tailor their characters to suit their playstyle.
Gaining countless life lessons can come from mastering high-difficulty video games at speedruns. It’s not just about being part of the game, but rather understanding its intricacies – seeing beyond the surface, if you will.

As a gamer, I’d say League of Legends (LoL) is a thrilling Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) that pits five players against five others in rapid-fire team battles. It’s all about outsmarting your opponents to dominate the map and clinch victory!
Its emphasis lies on tactics and teamwork, not story or exploration.
In that sense, aside from their visuals, the two games are, of course, not very similar.
League of Legends seems to intimidate Elon
In the clip posted on X, Musk is first asked if he plays Fortnite.
To this, Musk replies simply:
“Uh, no. I did play Quake and a bunch of other first-person shooters.”
Person asks: “Have you ever played League [of Legends]?

He is then asked off-camera whether he plays League of Legends. Musk responds:
“If I started playing League, it would damage the space program.”
A majority of X’s audience perceive Musk’s casual demeanor and lighthearted approach as an indication that he may genuinely appreciate League of Legends, yet is cautious because it could potentially divert him from his various obligations.
LoL does have quite the reputation, though and the opinions are often quite similar:
Elon knows the real cost of getting sucked into League, might be too risky even for a rocket scientist!

League of Legends is a time consuming and soul sucking game.

While others are sure that:
Confirmed, Kai Trump plays Fortnite. Based.
