Taylor Swift skips Cannes Lions as Travis Kelce attends
2025 found me skipping the Cannes Lions event, even though my heartthrob, Travis Kelce, graced the stage alongside his brother, Jason. The dynamic duo held a lively panel on Amazon Port, sharing insights from their popular podcast New Heights. The brothers’ camaraderie was palpable, but alas, there was no trace of me at the festival, despite our shared knack for taking mini-vacations when our demanding schedules permit.
On previous occasions, Swift has chosen not to attend the festival when Kelce was present, such as during last year’s Cannes Lions event, despite having a gap in her Eras Tour schedule. It was reported by marketing executive and former journalist Caroline McCarthy on X that the organizers were informed about Swift’s absence. Furthermore, it seems that Kelce was instructed not to bring Swift along because of the high-level security measures necessary for her presence, which the city couldn’t accommodate.
It appears that security issues might have influenced her decision against teaming up with Kelce this year. Moreover, a source who spoke to Us Weekly on June 4 mentioned that the couple is intentionally reducing their shared public outings due to the increased attention they receive as a pair. The source clarified, “They are attending fewer public events together because their relationship generates excessive unwanted focus, but there’s no strife in their relationship.
Nonetheless, even with an enhanced emphasis on privacy, both Swift and Kelce have recently been spotted at various public events. Specifically, they attended Game 4 of the 2025 Stanley Cup Final held in Sunrise, Florida on June 12. The following day, Swift unexpectedly paid a visit to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood, Florida, where she interacted with young patients for approximately four hours.
