Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury had attributed alcohol as a major reason for their breakup.

Tommy Fury opened up about his struggle with alcohol in an interview with Men’s Health. He stated, “I couldn’t continue being the partner I aspired to be. It’s painful for me to admit, but I just couldn’t anymore.” He added, “I enjoyed a good pint of beer, and drinking was something I enjoyed.” In addition, he firmly denied all accusations and gossip surrounding infidelity that emerged during his split with Molly and its subsequent fallout.

Molly-Mae echoed Fury’s feelings but held a slightly distinct viewpoint regarding the issue. In her memoir, “Behind It All”, Molly Mae disclosed that excessive drinking played a significant role in the breakdown of their relationship. Additionally, she shared her personal experience and how being with an alcoholic was never her intention. She also spoke about her mother’s struggles with alcoholism post her divorce from Molly-Mae’s father.

In a subsequent remark, the Maebe’s founder expressed deep sorrow when Tommy chose to drink at her sister Zoe’s wedding. She also shared that she pleaded with him to overcome his struggle with alcoholism.

To elaborate, unlike Tommy, who appeared to reject cheating accusations outright, Molly-Mae gave an ambiguous response. She stated that she’s become more aware of things she was previously unaware of, but admitted there might still be aspects of the situation she doesn’t fully understand. “Over the past year or so I have come to realize many things I was oblivious to before,” she said. “I believe there are still pieces of the puzzle that I am yet to grasp.” Additionally, Molly-Mae refuted claims that her and Fury’s split was a fabricated publicity stunt.
