As a gamer who has spent countless hours navigating virtual worlds filled with unexpected twists and turns, I can’t help but appreciate the real-life theatrics played out by Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh during the London premiere of “We Live in Time.
Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh are currently traveling from city to city for the promotions and premieres of their new film, “We Live in Time.” Nevertheless, it was their London premiere that particularly garnered attention. In a special gesture to include his co-star who couldn’t attend, Garfield creatively ensured Florence Pugh’s presence on the red carpet during the BFI London Film Festival. Here’s how he made her feel like she was there.
Andrew Garfield took Florence Pugh’s cardboard cut-out to We Live in Time premiere
On October 17th, Andrew Garfield graced the BFI London Film Festival, promoting “We Live in Time”. His look, a custom Valentino suit reminiscent of the ’70s, added charm to the event. Interestingly, Florence Pugh was unable to attend the premiere, but Garfield ensured she was still present. He brought along a life-sized cardboard cutout of Pugh from “Thunderbolts” and posed with it on the red carpet for photographers.
Pugh’s cut-out showcased her wearing a black gown. The premiere pictures took the internet by storm, as fans had impressive reactions to Garfield’s playful humor on the red carpet.
Later on, Pugh expressed her regrets on Instagram for missing the London Film Festival. In her post, she said, “Have fun! To everyone at the London Film Festival! I’m thrilled that you’ll get to watch this movie. I apologize for not being there with LFF for @weliveintime… It’s really disappointing not to be present for the release, but I’m sending a toast from afar. Wishing you all the best. Keep your seats!” (Paraphrased by me)
