Why Dead By Daylight’s 2v8 Mode Now Features Bots: The Shocking Truth Revealed!

The popular 2v8 mode in Dead by Daylight is making a comeback! This is the third version of this Limited Time Mode from Behaviour, and it’s better than ever thanks to the Resident Evil theme featuring Nemesis and Wesker as the first licensed killers. Besides the focus on Resident Evil, you might not know that this mode now includes AI-controlled characters, or bots, for a more balanced experience. Behaviour has shared the reasons why Dead By Daylight 2v8 mode incorporates bots, as well as details about when they are utilized.

Why Dead By Daylight 2v8 mode has bots

In contrast to the initial versions of the LTM (Limited Time Mode), Dead By Daylight’s latest update, version 2v8, introduces AI-controlled characters, or bots, specifically as survivors. According to an article by Epic Games, these bots are designed for two players, excluding killers from this mode.

After the unveiling of bots, there was a bit of resistance as some people started referring to the system as 2v6 rather than 2v8. In response to a question posed by prominent leaker Dvveet, BeHaviour provided an explanation regarding this issue.

Epic’s article stated that bots would be placed in every lobby, but this isn’t accurate. At most, a few bot survivors will be included, and they’ll only be utilized when required to “minimize the waiting period for all players.

Moreover, bots are implemented to “reduce lengthy wait times in game modes like 2v8,” which is a recurring issue that players often voice their concerns about. It’s hoped that integrating bots will improve this persistent challenge.

In addition to the reintroduction of character 2v8, there are also fresh costumes available for all characters in DBD, featuring favorites such as Wesker, Ada Wong (from the Resident Evil 4 Remake), Leon (from RE6), and the iconic superior version of Nemesis (from RE3). Additionally, Jill Valentine and Rebecca Chambers have been given stylish new wardrobes.
