Why Chicago PD, Fire and Med will be on a break next week
Based on TV Insider’s schedule, NBC plans to broadcast re-runs of the shows Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, and Chicago Med.
Networks often schedule brief pauses during a season to ensure a seamless progression up until May, when most seasons end. These pauses can offer production teams extra time to complete forthcoming episodes or enable the network to insert special broadcasts. In this case, it appears they’re focusing on finishing remaining episodes, as no alternative programming has been scheduled instead.
NBC has planned repeat broadcasts of the One Chicago series for the week commencing April 30th. This lineup includes “Chicago Med” Season 10 Episode 6 (“Forget Me Not”), “Chicago Fire” Season 13 Episode 6 (“Bird of Prey”), and “Chicago PD” Season 12 Episode 6 (“Pawn”). These shows will resume with fresh episodes on May 7, 2025, in their regular airing times.
