In the June 2nd edition of Yes Chef!, viewers found themselves curious: Who got knocked out, who emerged victorious, and who suffered a setback this week? The anticipation was high, as only six contenders remained. The hosts, Martha Stewart and José Andrés, increased the pressure by inviting all the previously ousted chefs back for another opportunity. Two spots for redemption were at stake, leading to heightened emotions as six current competitors faced potential replacement.
So, who fought their way back, and who had to hang up their aprons? Here’s a breakdown.
Who got eliminated in on Yes Chef! this week on June 2?
Following the intense culinary competition known as “Sweet Revenge,” previously ousted chefs Petrina Peart and Julia Chebotar came back with impressive dishes and unyielding resolve. This, in turn, led to two current contestants being sent home. It was Ronnay Miranda and Chris Morales who were eliminated from the show Yes Chef! this week.
In simpler terms, Chef Ronny’s sweet dessert of honey marshmallow with caramel corn was criticized as overly sweet during the final competition. His dish of ribeye steak with salsa macha and cauliflower puree did not have a good balance, as the judges pointed out. Unfortunately, he couldn’t regain his footing in the savory showdown.
In the intense cook-off against Petrina, I took a daring leap by pairing a steak with risotto. However, my heart sank as I served up an undercooked risotto, a critical error in the swift 30-minute duel.
Which team won and who lost on Yes Chef! this week?
This week’s top performers on “Yes Chef!” were unexpectedly part of the blue team, a group that also comprised the previously eliminated chefs.
Chef Petrina transformed a standard pastry tart into a stunning, dismantled masterpiece, whereas Chef Julia’s crêpe filled with berries was still impressive despite having a dense consistency. As a result, both chefs secured the opportunity to compete against current contestants and emerged victorious.
From the initial green squad, it was Ronny, Chris, and Emily Brubaker who ended up at the bottom. Amazingly, Emily managed to stay, but unfortunately, Ronny and Chris didn’t make it. Now that we have six competitors left and two veterans rejoining, the kitchen is buzzing with an unprecedented level of uncertainty.
