Based on information from an NBC insider, it appears that Tom Llamas is strongly favored to fill a prominent position at NBC. The source stated, “It’s almost certainly Tom. It’s more like a contest between Tom and Hallie Jackson, but Tom has a 99% chance.” Previous reports from the New York Post in November 2024 suggested that Llamas is eagerly anticipating Holt’s retirement, hinting that he could be the one to succeed in this high-profile role. However, it’s important to remember that NBC has not yet officially confirmed any decisions regarding the position. As such, all these developments should be considered speculative at this stage.
Initially, Tom Llamas began working at NBC back in 2000. After a short stint at ABC News from 2014 to 2021, he has since returned to NBC. Currently, he holds the position of senior national correspondent within the network. Additionally, he is the host of Top Story with Tom Llamas on NBC News Now.
In contrast, Hallie Jackson joined NBC in 2014 and now functions as their primary White House correspondent. Furthermore, she anchors Hallie Jackson NOW on NBC News Now.
