Disney Theatrical Group confirmed the tragic death of Marquis Floyd, a valued performer in their touring company for “The Lion King.” Anne Quart, the show’s producer, issued a statement on his passing. In her message, she expressed deep sadness and remembered Marquis as a gifted actor who shared his kindness both on and off stage during his three years with the tour. She offered heartfelt condolences to Floyd’s family, friends, and loved ones, acknowledging that he will always be cherished by the “Lion King” family.

Significantly, Floyd was a skilled artist who took part in productions by the Dance Theater of Harlem and the Bad Boys of Ballet. Additionally, he showcased his talent in Fire Shut Up in My Bones at the Metropolitan Opera House.
