According to an article in Hindustan Times, the actor’s spouse is said to have stated, “My husband’s excessive alcohol consumption has severely damaged his liver. He had been in good health until a month ago. However, all of a sudden, he started having trouble breathing. Initially, we took him to Omandurar Hospital where they diagnosed him with liver and jaundice. He was treated there for ten days. Afterward, we were transferred to Stanley Government Hospital for further treatment.”
Beyond this, she mentioned that doctors recommended a liver transplant for Ramesh, yet his survival chances remained slim even after receiving a new liver. In various interviews, Ramesh himself acknowledged battling alcohol addiction and the difficulties it brought about. ”I am unable to stand in one place. I just kept hammering away and had done many wrong things in my life before my marriage. My mistakes made me turn into an alcoholic. I urge my fans and others to take my example and stop consuming alcohol or any other bad habits that ruin health,” he added.
