As a devoted fan who has been following Ghosts since its inception, I must say that the latest episode of season 4 left me both teary-eyed and chuckling. The dynamic between Isaac and Nigel is one of the most heartwarming aspects of this series, and their struggle to coexist under one roof was a poignant reminder of their shared pain and love.

After Isaac’s return to Woodstone Manor, the matter of who could remain living there arose. Maintaining both Isaac and Nigel in the same house was not feasible, so one of them had to relocate in the fourth season’s second episode of ‘Ghosts’.

The new episode did focus on Sam’s dad coming to visit, which meant Patience causing some trouble. However, the side story was all about Isaac and Nigel.

Even though his marriage ended tragically, Nigel continued residing in the house because he had grown fond of the other spirits and didn’t wish to part ways with them. Was there any chance he would be compelled to vacate the property?

Isaac and Nigel talk in Ghosts season 4, episode 2

The episode opens as Isaac attempts to steer clear of Nigel. He’s mindful of Nigel’s distress, but finding it challenging. This is because Nigel persistently frequents the one room with the television. Nevertheless, they both come to understand that their current living arrangement isn’t sustainable.

Initially, Nigel accepts that he will be the one departing. Yet, his heartfelt speech about longing for the companionship of his friends causes distress to Isaac. Consequently, Isaac proposes that he should be the one to relocate instead. This turn of events takes Isaac by surprise, and he acknowledges that he’s actually making progress on his promise to improve himself. Despite not intending it, Isaac feels proud of becoming a good person.

Well, it looks like Isaac has vacated Woodstone Manor, as per the latest developments. Frankly, his presence was becoming quite grating among the other Redcoat spirits in the shed, so much so that they’ve asked Nigel to consider moving back in with them.

In the fourth season of “Ghosts,” during episode 2, things are settling down once more. Isaac has returned to the house, while Nigel remains in the shed. However, the one difference we see now is that Patience continues to reside within the house.
