As a seasoned Destiny 2 gamer with countless hours spent mastering the art of spacefaring loot-grabbing, I can’t help but feel a thrill of anticipation for this World’s First Race. It’s not every day that we get to witness history in the making, especially when it comes to Dungeons and not Raids!
Today marks an exciting turn of events in Destiny 2, with the inauguration of our first-ever World’s First Race for a Dungeon rather than a Raid. This implies that the race will be faster-paced, potentially stirring up some thrilling rivalry among Raid teams. Given their competitive spirit, I anticipate that many of these teams might divide into smaller groups to engage in friendly contests.
Who is winning the Vesper’s Host Dungeon World’s First Race in Destiny 2?
The Vesper’s Host Dungeon hasn’t been released just yet, but it will go online at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time. Keep an eye out for frequent updates about who’s currently leading and all the exciting things taking place within the Dungeon.
The Dungeon is set to debut with Challenge Mode activated, making it tougher to conquer during the initial 48 hours. The winning fireteams who successfully clear every encounter and grab the final chest within this timeframe will receive a personalized Vesper’s Host Activewear Hoodie and Vesper’s Host Bracelet as their prizes. While it may not be as impressive as the belts awarded for first place in Raid competitions, this setup seems reasonable.
Dungeon Race Details
- Contest Mode will be enabled for 48 hours.
- Normal Mode will become available as soon as the first three teams clear the dungeon, but you can still start in Content Mode for the first 48 hours, if you wish.
- You will need to be at 1985 Power Level to be at the cap through all the encounters.
Entry Requirements
- Put together a fire team of three players and start the Vesper’s Host dungeon in Contest Mode from the planet system map.
- All fireteam members must own The Final Shape Dungeon Key and acquire the quest “Rogue Network” from Spider in the Last City Seasonal hub.
Completion Criteria
- Once the final encounter is complete, the fireteam must loot the final chest, or their finish may not be recorded. A team’s official finish will be recorded when they loot the final chest.
- At least one member of the fire team must have completed and received loot for every encounter, and it must be the first time all members of the fire team have completed the activity.
While waiting for the imminent start of the Dungeon, I recommend taking a look at Byf’s fascinating lore video instead.
