It’s time for the raid, Guardians! The Desert Perpetual is ready for anyone daring enough to prove their abilities and those of their team. If you’re up for a challenge, come test your skills to claim the prestigious World First title. Expect brain-teasing puzzles, rigorous challenges, agility tests, and intense DPS checks as the top Destiny 2 players race against each other to finish the raid first.

Who is winning The Desert Perpetual Raid World First Race in Destiny 2?

The Desert Perpetual First World Race kicks off at 10:00 AM Pacific Time / 1:00 PM Eastern Time. Keep an eye on your favorite streamers to see if they’re participating – they’ll be broadcasting it on their channels. If you want to follow one stream while staying updated on others, I’ll do my best to provide updates throughout the race.

The Desert Perpetual World First Race – important information

The operation will commence under the most challenging setting, referred to as Contest mode, lasting for a span of 48 hours. This heightened level of difficulty is intended to make it more demanding than typical, embodying the thrill and test of being among the pioneers worldwide.

Details

  • Contest Mode will be enabled for 48 hours, from July 19 at 10am PT to July 21 at 9:59am PT.
  • Completing The Edge of Fate Campaign at Legendary difficulty will get you Contest ready, or you may complete the campaign at Normal difficulty and hunt for Power before the Raid goes live.
  • The lowest Power you want to be is 100.

Entry Requirements

  • Completion of The Edge of Fate campaign.

Completion Criteria

  • Fireteams don’t need to return to orbit to finish the race. This is a little different than the last few races. 
  • The first fireteam to finish every encounter and loot the final chest will be declared World First winners and have their victory immortalized with The Desert Perpetual World First raid belts.
