Sobhita was born and nurtured in the city of Visakhapatnam, surrounded by a Telugu household. Her dad, Venugopal Rao, served as an engineer in the Merchant Navy, while her mom, Santha Rao, taught at a primary school. Sobhita has a sibling, Samantha, who works as a radiologist.
When Sobhita turned sixteen years old, she relocated to Mumbai with the intention of continuing her education. At the H.R. College of Commerce and Economics, she specialized in studying corporate law. Simultaneously, she honed her skills in classical dance styles such as Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi.
Sobhita’s adventure into beauty pageants started when a college companion motivated her to try out for the Femina Miss India competition. At first, her goal was merely to pass the initial round to show her abilities to her peers. But, not only did she succeed in this, she was even crowned as Femina Miss India Earth 2013! This victory allowed her to represent India at the Miss Earth pageant, where she garnered several titles such as Miss Photogenic and Miss Talent.
Sobhita Dhulipala first appeared on the acting scene in Anurag Kashyap’s film Raman Raghav 2.0, which was initially screened at the Cannes Film Festival. Her portrayal garnered her praise from critics and a nomination for Best Supporting Performance at the festival itself.
