As a dedicated follower of the Indian film industry, I have been eagerly anticipating the release of Devara: Part 1, starring the charismatic Jr NTR. One actress who has caught my eye in this upcoming action thriller is Shruti Marathe, who will be playing the role of Jr NTR’s wife.

This 37-year-old actress has been part of the movie world since 2008, gracing screens in various languages. Let’s delve into the highlights of her life, both personally and professionally, throughout these years.
Who is Shruti Marathe?
Shruti Marathe is an actress who initially appeared in a Marathi film called Sanai Choughade, sharing screen time with actors such as Shreyas Talpade, Subodh Bhave, and Sai Tamhankar. Later on, she also showcased her talents in Tamil cinema, taking on significant roles in movies like Indira Vizha and Naan Avanillai 2.
Advancing in her acting profession, she appeared in numerous Marathi movies such as Asa Mi Tasa Mi, Premasutra, Taptapadi, Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai 2, among others. Simultaneously, she was also cast in several Tamil films, including Sathyaraj, Sundar C’s Guru Sishyan, and a guest role in the film Aravaan starring Aadhi.
The actress made her debut in a Hindi movie as far back as 2016 with the film “Budhia Singh – Born to Run,” which starred Manoj Bajpayee and Mayur Patole prominently. Since then, she has pursued roles in other Hindi films such as “Wedding Anniversary” and most recently, “Munjya.”
In the film featuring Sharvari and Abhay Verma as the main characters, along with Mona Singh and Sathyaraj, the actress took on a pivotal part. This movie was actually the fourth addition to the Maddock Supernatural Universe, with its storyline revolving around the legends and folklore associated with Munjya, a spirit boy.
Additionally, Shruti Marathe first appeared on television following her initial role in the 2003 Marathi series Peshwai. Subsequently, she was a part of Radha Hi Bawari and Jaago Mohan Pyare on Marathi TV. Later, the actress graced our screens in the Hindi shows Rudrakaal and Bards of Blood alongside Emraan Hashmi, Kirti Kulhari, Vineet Kumar Singh, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Sobhita Dhulipala on digital platforms.
In addition, it’s worth noting that she isn’t just a film actress but also a theater artist. Moving on to her personal background, Shruti was born on the 9th of October, 1986, in Vadodara, Gujarat. The actress has been with Marathi actor and producer Gaurav Ghatnekar since 2016, who is renowned for films such as Tuesday and Veergati, and they even shared the screen together in Tujhi Majhi Lovestory.
