Eminem will be opening the MTV VMAs this year.
Known rap icon is set to make his debut with a live showcase of his freshly released album, named “The Death of Slim Shady.” He has garnered an impressive eight nominations across categories such as Artist of the Year, Best Video, Top Hip-Hop, and Song of the Season.
Eminem has performed at the VMAs stage before. His first appearance was back in 1999 where he showcased hits like “Guilty Conscience” and “My Name Is.” That performance is remembered for his most famous moments, “The Real Slim Shady” and “The Way I Am.” During this performance, he had the stage filled with 100 of his doppelgängers.
2010 saw him co-hosting the VMAs with Rihanna, and he made a memorable guest appearance during Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s performance in 2012. Fast forward to 2022, Eminem teamed up with Snoop Dogg for their first collaboration titled “From the D 2 The LBC.
