Actress Meera Jasmine has just reappeared in Tamil films, featuring in the movie titled “Test”. This role signifies her return to the film industry following an eleven-year absence.
Did you know that Meera Jasmine is an Indian actress who has appeared in movies made in several languages such as Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada? She was born on the 15th of February, 1982, in Thiruvalla, a town located in Kerala.
Meera first appeared in Malayalam films following her discovery by director Blessy, who at the time functioned as an assistant director on Soothradharan. Her initial movie was overseen by the late A. K. Lohithadas.
In the crime drama where Dileep played the main character, Meera Jasmine was recognized with the Second Best Actress honor at the Kerala State Film Awards. Afterward, she collaborated with Dileep on another project titled “Gramophone.
I graced the screens of Swapnakkoodu, a film that featured stars like Prithviraj Sukumaran, Kunchacko Boban, and Jayasurya alongside me. Then, in 2002, I ventured into Tamil cinema with Run, where I shared the screen with R. Madhavan.

For several years, she starred in the Tamil movie “Vingyani” (2014) and the Malayalam film “Pathu Kalpanakal” (2016), which were her last roles before taking a break from acting.
In 2022, Meera Jasmine took center stage once more on the big screen with the film Makal, which she headlined. This family drama, helmed by Sathyan Anthikkad and penned by Iqbal Kuttippuram, saw Jayaram in a leading role, but unfortunately, it flopped at the box office.
Later on, she starred in movies such as those portraying Queen Elizabeth and Paalum Pazhavum, deepening her involvement in Malayalam films. Subsequently, she re-entered Telugu cinema with a brief appearance in Vimanam and assumed double roles in the 2024 film Swag.
After an eleven-year hiatus from Tamil films, the actress is now starring as the main character in the movie titled “Test”. This sports drama also includes Siddharth, while R. Madhavan and Nayanthara are sharing leading roles with her.
