As a seasoned Outlander fan with over a decade of time-traveling adventures under my belt, I must say that the latest teasers for Season 7B have me more than just intrigued – they’ve got me downright giddy! Claire Fraser, our fearless heroine, is back in America and it looks like she’s diving headfirst into a medical mystery.
In the upcoming Season 7B of Outlander, Claire won’t be staying in Scotland for too long. Instead, we see her returning to America within just a few episodes, and it seems like she immediately resumes her professional duties upon arrival.

In some photographs, Claire can be seen back in the United States, and one of these depicts her attending to a patient. This individual is lying in a bed within a house, and his condition appears to be rather grave.
In addition, we find her accompanying both Lord John Grey and Denny, each time donning the same attire she wore while caring for the patient. This indicates that these scenes likely originate from a single episode within the same narrative. This clarification is beneficial in distinguishing between different storylines presented in the book series.
Claire Fraser treats a Grey in Outlander Season 7B
It’s plausible that this photo was shot during the part of the narrative where Claire is in Philadelphia. This assumption arises from our knowledge that Liverpool stood in as the city for filming purposes.
Upon returning to America, Claire receives a plea from Lord John Grey. His nephew, Henry, requires urgent medical care as Denny has reached his limits. With her rich medical background, Claire steps in to help. It’s later discovered that Henry sustained serious injuries during a fight.
Here’s when the character Mercy Woodcock makes an appearance in Outlander Season 7B, a character whose entrance we’ve been anticipating. In the novel, it’s unclear whether her husband is living or deceased, but Claire deduces that she had treated him and his leg was amputated, suggesting he might not have survived. However, in the series, we already know that her husband has passed away because Claire assisted in alleviating his suffering.
In the series, mercy develops feelings for Henry Grey as she cares for him. Since her husband is confirmed deceased, this narrative development keeps the spotlight on their tale.
It seems like everything is set to unfold in the second half of ‘Outlander’ Season 7. Does this imply that John’s brother Hal will make an appearance? What about Dottie? There are numerous characters from the books yet to be introduced, but having Henry on board could pave the way for some of them.
Outlander Season 7B premieres on Friday, Nov. 22 on Starz.
