12th episode of The Voice Season 27 marked the start of playoffs, during which six contestants said their goodbyes. Kelsea’s team bid farewell to Jaelen Johnston, Darius J, and Tinika Wyatt. On Adam’s team, Britton Moore, Conor James, and Ethan Eckenroad were eliminated.
Initially, every coach had five performers for the night, but only two from each group moved on to the Live Performances. The coaches were solely responsible for all elimination decisions, as there were no Steals or Saves during the Playoffs. Sheryl Crow provided mentorship for Team Kelsea, while LeAnn Rimes assisted Team Adam throughout this phase.
Iris Herrera progressed in the competition following her performance of Chris Stapleton’s “White Horse”. Kelsea Ballerini praised her, saying, “Iris, you truly embodied everything that makes you unique. You delivered your best performance yet.” Similarly, Alanna Lynise advanced with her interpretation of SZA’s “Nobody Gets Me”. Kelsea expressed her admiration, stating, “Everything she presented was simply outstanding, top-notch.
On Team Adam, Lucia Flores-Wiseman progressed with her rendition of “In My Life” by The Beatles. Adam Levine commented, “I’ve never come across anyone quite like you… It’s been a truly wonderful journey working alongside you.” Similarly, Kolby Cordell earned a spot in the Live Shows following his performance of “Finesse” by Bruno Mars. Adam highly appreciated him, stating, “You’ve just skyrocketed as… the standout and top-tier talent on this show.
