In the expanding universe of Avatar: Fire & Ash, a malevolent tribe called the Tlalim Clan, or the Wind Traders, has been introduced. The forthcoming episode will zero in on the Sully family, as they persist in their quest to protect Pandora from destructive human intruders. During this journey, they are expected to encounter these new beings, gaining insights into their pasts and reasons for actions. Lately, director James Cameron has shed light on the part played by the Tlalim Clan in the upcoming film. Here’s a breakdown of the details.
Avatar 3: Fire and Ash’s Wind Traders of Wind Tribe, aka Tlalim Clan, explained
The Tlalim Clan, also known as the Wind Traders, is a nomadic group of Na’vi primarily led by Peylak. To facilitate their movement through the skies, they make use of creatures native to Pandora such as Medusoids and Windrays.
Lately, Cameron recently chatted with Empire about the Wind Traders, a fresh inclusion in the cast for Avatar 3. He shared insights on this distinctive tribe’s traits and their enchanting aerial transportation around Pandora.
As I was listening, it struck me that they’re akin to the camel caravans of old Silk Road times, only here in this fantastical world. They’re traders, sure, but there’s something more to them – an adventurous spirit that’s hard to resist. Just like all Na’vi, they’ve built a life in harmony with their creatures. If you’ve got even a drop of sailor’s blood coursing through your veins, you’ll yearn to set sail on their ship. Empire has given us a peek at these Wind Traders, and I can already tell it’s going to be a visual spectacle that will leave fans breathless.
Although the new clan seems intriguing, there’s still a lot we don’t know about its background and inner workings, leaving plenty of room for the upcoming movie to delve deeper into these mysteries. The one fact we have about it is that they might employ sätare beads as their currency, which is also used by the Na’vi, and Kukulope has been observed using them. However, it’s uncertain whether all members of the clan utilize this currency or if it’s merely Kukulope’s personal choice.
Spectators may have the opportunity to delve deeper into various parts of Pandora, as this group doesn’t reside in a fixed location but instead roams around on their creatures. It would be fascinating to discover their introduction in the newest release and understand their role within the narrative.
Avatar: Fire and Ash is set to arrive in theaters on December 19, 2025.
