As a gamer immersed in the captivating world of Solo Leveling, I’ve been eagerly following the anime, and let me tell you, Episode 6 was a game-changer! Titled “Don’t Look Down on My Guys,” it introduced us to one of Sung Jinwoo’s formidable shadows – Tusk, also known as Kargalgan. This episode marked his entry into Jinwoo’s shadow army, and I can’t wait to share more about this powerful character and how Jinwoo managed to secure him in Season 2. Stay tuned for the intriguing details!
Here’s who Tusk and Kargalgan are in Solo Leveling
In a simpler term, Tusk is the spectral version of the dungeon’s boss, Kargalgan. We first encountered Kargalgan in Episode 6 titled “Don’t Look Down on My Guys” during Season 2.
Kargalgan, a demon with reddish skin, holds the position of leader among the High Orcs in the anime world. He is known for being one of the smartest demons and also possesses high rank as an S-rank dungeon boss. This powerful being derives satisfaction from tormenting humans. As a shaman, Kargalgan has exceptional control over magic, utilizing spells such as Gravitation Magic, Barrier Magic, Hymn of Agony, Hymn of Protection, and others. Not only can he communicate with humans through speech, but he also has the ability to use telepathy and take control of someone’s mind at his discretion. This was evident in an episode where he manipulated one of his soldiers to lead a group from Hunter’s Guild, including Son Kihoon and Sung Jinwoo, towards his hideout.
How does Jinwoo acquire Tusk in Solo Leveling Season 2?
In Episode 6 of the anime, Hunter Sung Jinwoo captured the shadow of Kargalgan, whom he later named Tusk. Upon encountering Kargalgan, Jinwoo chose to take decisive action to protect his fellow hunters. He summoned his Shadow army, with Igris at its head, who charged against Kargalgan’s High Orcs. Meanwhile, Jinwoo joined the fray himself, while Kargalgan retaliated by casting spells that had minimal impact.
Later on, Jinwoo observed his soldiers vanishing at a swift pace, which made Kargalgan believe he could emerge victorious. But then, Jinwoo put his brilliant strategy into action and started retrieving the spirits of the deceased High Orcs. This spectacle left Kargalgan feeling more confident, attempting to overthrow Jinwoo, but instead, he turned into an exposed weak spot for the Shadow Monarch. Once defeated, Kargalgan was recruited as Tusk in Jinwoo’s army, under the command of Solo Leveling’s protagonist.
