Following the tremendous success of Black Myth: Wukong, global gaming enthusiasts are now turning their attention towards video games originating from China. One such game that deserves attention is Everstone Studio’s open-world action-adventure RPG, “Where Winds Meet”.

Today, it’s officially confirmed that the game will launch for both PlayStation 5 and PC systems in the year 2025. In addition to this, there’s exciting news about another beta test session coming up as well.

When Winds Meet Second Closed Beta Scheduled For May

According to a recent announcement, Everstone has verified that the game is scheduled for release in the year 2025; however, they didn’t specify an exact date. If you’re eager to get a sneak peek, another closed beta will kick off on May 16, available on both PS5 and PC platforms.

Today, you can start signing up for the beta version directly on our official site, all the way until May 15th. This trial phase will be available in multiple languages such as English, Japanese, and Korean, making it accessible for a wide variety of players to join in, offer their feedback, and collaborate with the developers.

For those new to it, “Where Winds Meet” is a Role-Playing Game (RPG) that takes place during China’s Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms Era. In this game, you’ll step into the shoes of a young sword expert, embarking on a journey to discover your own hidden identity.

Players will delve into the enigma of Wuxia martial arts, similar to Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. They will also have the opportunity to design and personalize their characters. As stated in the press release, players will encounter a one-of-a-kind eastern combat system based on Wuxia, featuring various familiar and exotic weapons and abilities to discover and enhance. In this game, they’ll engage in close-quarters fighting, armed with an array of weapons such as Spear, Sword, Dual Blades, Glaive, Umbrella, and Fans, while mastering unique martial arts skills like Acupuncture Hitting, Lion’s Roar, Merciful Picking, Tai Chi, and more.

The recently created Chinese game, “Where Winds Meet,” has garnered a lot of interest. Similarly, the game “Phantom Blade” by S-Game, another Chinese production, is causing a stir. Last year’s hands-on preview left us pleasantly surprised.

It’s unlikely that “Where Winds Meet” will garner as much attention as “Black Myth Wukong,” however, it has the potential to become an under-the-radar success, reinforcing China’s reputation as a nation capable of producing top-tier AAA gaming experiences.

Where Winds Meet is set to be released sometime this year for the PS5 and PC.
