Where to watch Walking Dead universe actor Lennie James new role in Mr. Loverman

As a seasoned gamer with a deep appreciation for both the virtual and real-life worlds of entertainment, I have to say that Lennie James is undeniably a force to be reckoned with. His latest project, “Mr. Loverman,” based on Bernardine Evaristo’s acclaimed novel, has certainly piqued my interest.

Lennie James is widely recognized for his long-term role as Morgan Jones in the popular series, The Walking Dead. He made history by being the first character to cross over between TWDU when his storyline moved to the initial spinoff, Fear the Walking Dead, during its fourth season. With a versatile career that spans television shows, movies, and theater, James also penned, produced, and acted in the British series Save Me. Currently, he’s set to appear in the film Mr. Loverman, which premiered at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival.

His new project is based on Booker Prize Winner Bernardine Evaristo’s same-titled novel for BBC One. The story was adapted by Nathaniel Price and is directed by Hong Khaou, known for his feature debut, Lilting (2014).

James depicts Barrington Jedidiah Walker, an Antiguan-born Londoner named Barry, who is suspected by his wife of infidelity. Indeed, Barry is unfaithful, but not in the way she imagines. Over several decades, Barry has been deeply entangled with his closest friend, Morris, in a profound and passionate relationship.
