In the late stages of Monster Hunter Wilds, there are numerous items to cultivate, among them are Wyverian Bloodstones – a unique material that allows players to create the Artian series of weapons at the blacksmith. Unlike standard crafting methods, these weapons function in a slightly distinct manner.
Wyverian Bloodstones significantly reduce the time required for endgame grinding in Monster Hunter World, particularly beneficial for those aiming to craft a multitude of Archtitan weapons. Here are some key details about these bloodstones.
How to Get Wyverian Bloodstones in MH Wilds
Players acquire Wyverian Bloodstones by defeating Tempered Monsters, particularly when they breach Tempered Wounds. Notably, these items are automatically deposited into the player’s inventory following the breaking of such wounds. These wounds behave similarly to regular ones, except they emit a blue glow instead of red.
In the course of battles, it appears that some wounds on Tempered Monsters seem spontaneous and different from ordinary ones. It is common for a Tempered creature to acquire several such unusual wounds during each encounter. These peculiar wounds vanish only when you engage in combat with a Guardian monster. When fighting a Guardian, it’s wise to attempt breaking the Tempered wounds as swiftly as possible, just to ensure safety.
To enhance the likelihood of a Tempered Wound forming, try to attack one area consistently. Once a wound breaks, move on to another spot that hasn’t been injured recently. The Flayer skill can aid in creating wounds more often, although the specifics regarding this skill are still under investigation within the community.
What to Do With Wyverian Bloodstones in MH Wilds
After acquiring Wyverian Bloodstones, you can bring them to the Melding Pot located in Suja to transform them into points utilized for crafting Artian weapon components. The rarer components demand a higher number of points for fusion.
1. Common parts require 10 Bloodstones to make 1 point.
2. Rare parts need 5 Common points, which equals 50 Bloodstones.
3. Special parts require 3 Rare points, or 150 Bloodstones.
4. Gold parts necessitate 2 Special points, which is equivalent to 300 Bloodstones.
5. Platinum parts demand 1 Gold point, or 600 Bloodstones.
- Wyverian Bloodstone Shard: 1pts
- Wyverian Bloodstone (S): 5pts
- Wyverian Bloodstone (L): 20pts
- Wyverian Bloodstone Chunk: 240pts
To acquire less common types of Wyverian Bloodstones, you need to shatter the ‘Tempered Wounds’ on advanced creatures such as Nu Udra and Arkveld.
Try to hold onto your Bloodstones until you’re ready to craft Tier 8 Artisan weapons. These provide the finest stats among all game weapons (when crafted effectively), and they are incredibly adaptable when it comes to jewel slots too. Each Tier 8 Artisan weapon can accommodate three Level 3 Jewels.
From my perspective, at the moment, Wyverian Bloodstones are exclusively used for transforming items into Artisan-crafted components. Therefore, whenever you find yourself with some spare time, don’t hesitate to contribute those Bloodstones to the Melding Pot.
