In the game Avowed, after interacting with ‘The Voice’ several times, it will inform you that it suspects a piece of its memory is missing somewhere within Dawnshore. Unfortunately, the region on your map isn’t very specific, making it challenging to pinpoint the exact location. However, I have managed to locate it for you and have included some helpful screenshots as a guide to lead you directly to ‘The Voice’s lost memory fragment in Avowed.
The Voice’s memory location in Dawnshore
To locate the Ancient Memory, make a beeline for ‘The Rise Party Camp’, which is situated northeast of Paradis Hightown, using fast travel. Once you arrive there, proceed straight eastward.
Stepping forward, I find myself facing a towering rocky outcrop ahead. I stride towards it, bypassing any attempts to scale its peaks. A narrow tunnel catches my eye, carved from a tree trunk entwined with the very rocks themselves. Following this path leads me to an intriguing spot known as ‘Watcher’s Mirror.’
Straight ahead, navigate through the shallow water, then climb the steps until you hit a dead-end wall. At this point, a radiant, floating artifact will be directly before you. This is what The Voice sensed as the ‘Ancient Memory’ that was missing in Dawnshore. I’ve pinned the exact location on the map snapshot below for your convenience.
Engage with The Voice’s memories in Avowed, and you’ll uncover details about your character’s past, while also having the opportunity to provide additional information yourself.
Once the background details unfold, spin around to discover a slender pillar emerging from the shallow waters. Perched atop it is the distinctive, one-handed axe known as ‘Drawn in Winter’, waiting for you.
Luckily for us, a group of skeletons will emerge from the earth, providing you with a chance to try out your brand-new weapon. Take care of them, strip their remains for any valuable loot, and off you go to the next thrilling adventure beckoning in the Land of Avowed, known as the Living Lands.
