Where to find the robot Prototype Head, Arm, Claw, and Memory Core - Remnant 2

As an old-school gamer with countless hours spent navigating through labyrinthine digital worlds, I can confidently say that the quest to fix the robot in Remnant 2’s Repair Lab on N’Erud is one of the most intriguing adventures I’ve embarked upon. The hidden prototype items scattered across the DLC, particularly the Prototype Memory Core, have added a layer of depth and strategy to this game that I haven’t experienced in a while.

Nestled within the Repair Workshop on the planet N’Erud in Remnant 2, there lies a damaged robot that requires your attention. To mend this mechanical being, you need to track down four crucial components: a head unit, an arm assembly, a grabbing mechanism (claw), and a memory core. Once gathered, insert them all into the robot, and based on the choice you make, you’ll either engage in combat with it or let it be.

Activating the button on the Prototypical Memory Core will make the robot not attack you. It’s best to do so prior to giving it away, as it might earn you an alternative prize instead.

How to fix the robot

In the Agronomy district of N’Erud, there’s a malfunctioning robot located within a repair facility in Remnant 2. To fix this robot, you must collect four essential items hidden across various zones of the DLC expansion. The majority of these items can be found within the Withered Necropolis. Here are the items you need to gather:

To clarify from earlier, checking the Prototype Memory Core and clicking the button will deactivate the robot, thus avoiding a boss battle. Doing so results in a distinct reward compared to leaving the button unpressed and connecting everything as planned.

Prototype Head

In the beginning of the Dark Horizon DLC for the game Devoid, you’ll find the Prototype Head resting on the ground near a shattered platform.

Prototype Arm

The Prototype Arm is located inside a small cavern, positioned where three beams of blue light converge. To get there, initiate your journey from the Anterior Recess crystal, then take the path on your right. Continue through the open field until you reach the flying device (glider). Leap across the vast chasm using the glider; you’ll notice a red glow emanating from the cave below. Proceed towards the cave, vanquish any adversaries that stand in your way, and seize the arm resting on the ground.

Prototype Claw

The Prototype Claw is near the Dilapidated Auditorium. As with finding the Warden armor, start at the world crystal, take the ramp on the right down to the glider, and use the updraft to get some height. Land on the bridge, go to the left, and follow the path all the way to the end to find a robot in the end with the claw.

Prototype Memory Core

To locate the Prototype Memory Core, make your way from the World Crystal, taking the path down the ramp on the right side. After that, utilize the glider and the gust of wind coming from the left for a boost over the bridge. Once you’ve crossed the bridge, gradually descend. On your right, you should spot a ledge nestled under the main overhang. Safely land there, then venture inside to discover the Prototype Memory Core.

Robot rewards – Should you press the button on the Memory Core?

As we near the end of our journey, you might wonder, “Should I push the button on the Prototype Memory Core?” The decision is yours. Here’s what each choice offers you, so you can select the outcome that appeals to you most. You have the freedom to try the other option during a future playthrough if you wish to explore all the game has to offer.

Press the button

Pressing the button on the Prototype Memory Core causes the robot to display friendliness upon connection. Upon activation, you’ll experience a friendly interaction.

  • Spirit Alternator ring: Incoming shield grants 150% of the shield generated as mod powering.
  • O.T. Achievement

Do not press the button

Failing to push the button on the Prototype Memory Core may cause the robot to turn aggressive once all connections are made. Overcoming the final battle will grant you a prize:

  • Shield Alternator ring: Activating a Mod that costs 100 Mod Power or greater, generates a shield for 20% of Max Health.
  • Charged Wounds Mutator: Increases this weapon’s Fire Rate and Reload Speed by 2.5% per overloaded entity within 15m.

In the Repair Lab on N’Erud, locating and fixing the broken robot will require some investigation. When you uncover the four prototype parts, ponder over whether to activate the button on the Prototype Memory Core. With that task accomplished, you can then concentrate on discovering and resolving other mysteries within the DLC expansion. For assistance, check out our Remnant 2 guide.
