In your journey with Lord Otton von Bergow through the primary tale, you’ll eventually come across a mission titled “For Victory!” during which you will partake in a banquet at Trosky Castle. It is Lord Capon who assigns you the task of procuring wine, yet fails to provide details on locating Katherine within the Castle Kitchen.

Where is Katherine during the For Victory quest

During the For Victory! mission, one of the sub-tasks instructs you to venture into the castle’s kitchen to obtain wine for Lord Hans Capon’s journey. However, upon searching extensively throughout the castle, and more specifically within the kitchen specified by the quest, it appears that Katherine is nowhere to be found!

If you’re experiencing trouble locating Katherine as instructed in your current mission, here’s a tip: Instead of searching for Katherine right now, try looking for another character called Cook Manyeta in the kitchen area. She won’t disclose Katherine’s whereabouts, but she can provide you with the wine that is essential for your quest. Later on, you’ll learn where Katherine was. Once you inform Cook Manyeta about your need for the wine, she might ask if you could help her by opening the Herbs chest in the kitchen for her. Remember, this chest is of moderate difficulty and needs a Lockpick to open, so only proceed if you have one available.

Where to find the herbs chest

The Herb chest is situated on the ground level of the kitchen, meaning you’ll likely need to descend some stairs to find it. It’s tucked away in the rear corner of the kitchen, resting on the floor. Keep in mind that a lockpick will be necessary if you want to try opening it. The challenge level is moderate. If you manage to open it, Cook Manyeta will reward you with wine upon your announcement of success.

Instead, if you find yourself unable to open the chest and either don’t wish to use up more lockpicks or have run out, just go back to Cook Manyeta and inform her that you can’t unlock it. She’ll give you the Hungarian Wine, but your reputation with her might take a hit for not being able to open the chest.
