The quest may seem simple on paper, but the frustration of finding those elusive ration packs and cans with the “Found in Raid” status is enough to make one question their life choices.

After successfully completing the “Introduction” mission in Escape from Tarkov, you encounter the trader known as Jaeger who then tasks you with finishing the “Acquaintance” quest. This task can be quite frustrating, though not overly difficult on paper. To fulfill this request, you need to deliver three Iskra ration packs, two packets of instant noodles, and two large cans of beef stew. However, these items must all be obtained from raids before they can be handed over.

Where to find instant noodles, iskras, and tushonkas

As a gamer, scouring the vast Tarkov landscape for quest essentials, I’ve found that the hard-to-get instant noodles could pop up on random scavengers or their fallen comrades, with a dash of good fortune. On the contrary, Iskaras and tushonkas (beef) can be unearthed in ration supply crates, airdrops, hidden caches, and areas where loose consumables typically spawn. Here are some spots to explore for swiftly wrapping up this quest.

If you’re looking for any consumable, Interchange is the place to be. The Goshan grocery store on the eastern side of the mall usually has at least one of the things you need. Almost all the shelves in the store spawn with some kind of food or drink. The place is a hotspot for scavs, so be careful if you come to visit on your PMC. As a scav, looting here is a bit more peaceful, and it is close to the hole in the wall and the Emercom extraction points.

As an alternative, you could explore the woods and check out the Emercom/Container site located to the east of the lake. This spot not only offers medical supplies but also has many supply ration boxes and loose items strewn around the camp. While on Woods, consider scouting the USEC camp situated in the northwest corner of the map too; there are a few supply ration crates hidden up there as well.
