As a seasoned adventurer who’s traversed the icy wastelands of The Forever Winter for countless winters, I can confidently say that the hunt for European drone parts is no picnic. But fear not, fellow traveler! I’ve got a trick up my frostbitten sleeve that’ll make your quest a breeze – or at least as breezy as it gets in this frozen tundra.

Building connections is crucial in The Forever Winter, and if you aim to establish a relationship with Non-Player Characters (NPCs) from Europe and Eurasia, it would be beneficial to locate European drone components that can be offered to them.

As for my personal experience, I believe the most convenient spot to gather these items is around the Cemetery area in the Scorched Enclave map. This particular map offers a rotating series of battles, so you might need to replay it a few times to get the parts, but don’t let that discourage you. It’s all part of the game!

On this map, drones may or may not appear. Despite this occasional glitch, I consider it one of the safest locations for gathering loot. You might also want to check out Ashen Mesa, but beware that it can be quite challenging if your character and weapons are underdeveloped. If you happen to land there at night with lots of skull piles around, you won’t find any drones at all.

Start at the primary base, then take the slope leading away from the gravestones. Continue walking until you reach the first construction – a twin fortification with an open space inside. Spend a moment or two there, and some flying machines might approach you.

The drones required should be of European design, characterized by their slender build, with rotors positioned at the uppermost part and a circular metal base below, distinct from those resembling wasps. These drones will monitor this area, and they won’t stand a chance in a firefight against any adversary that confronts them – except for you. However, if you engage them, beware: you’ll be reduced to mush.

Wait until something eliminates them, then seize the opportunity to scavenge the remnants for the required European drone components. Not all three might be available simultaneously, but that’s okay since you don’t require them all at once. You can proceed towards the opposite side of the map and make a discreet exit, keeping a lookout for additional crashed drones along the way.

If you find one item (which is fantastic), go ahead. But if not, you can exit with only one or two items and move a step closer to completing your mission since your advancement persists. The key point to understand is that in this game, you can’t casually finish quests. Instead, you often have to run maps multiple times to create the right setup. So, don’t forget to gather additional supplies during these runs as well.

This map is great for multiple playthroughs since you can consistently find a water barrel in the upper section of the bunker labeled ‘4’. Keep an eye out there every time you play. It’s not as straightforward as the Mech Trenches for water collection, but it’s still worthwhile. Plus, there’s a lock box on the opposite side of that wall and a large loot container too, making it a spot that’s definitely worth revisiting.
